In the 1980's, the second chapter of Malayala Padavali (text book) carried the story of Suresh and Myna.

The famous lines from the text, "kla kla klee klee klu klu, there, a myna in the courtyard. Suresh turned back to look (kla kla klee klee klu klu..Muttahoru myna...Suresh thirinj nokki),...." has been used by people alike for fun and pun in various contexts in life. The names Suresh and myna were closely associated due to the text and people with the name wouldn't respond if they were made fun of by uttering 'kla kla klee klee klu klu'.

Then no one realised that the call in the text was to relate people to life and nature alike.

Thiruvananthapuram Vazhuthacaud Carmel GHSS students had a different take on the famous stories of 'Suresh and Myna,' 'Kunjiyamma and children ', 'Jaritha and children', 'Pootham and the kid 'and vividly connected them with nature and the lessons taught by mother nature.

The drama depicts the story of Suresh who leaves schooling to avoid being made fun of by friends and neighbours. At the end of the performance, when Suresh is brought back to school, the audience applauds wholeheartedly for the performance and for the nostalgic memories of grade 2 Malayalam Padavali that the drama could spread around.

The drama written by Sajeevan Muraliyodu is directed by Jinesh Amballoor.

Daksha turned Suresh

Daksha

Through the restructured drama, the embarrassment of Suresh was removed but Daksha, who played the role, has been called Suresh since then.

The grade 10 student Daksha did complete justice to her role as Suresh due to which people have forgotten her real name.

Daksha is happy after the drama, that the old 'Suresh' is saved even though people seem to have forgotten to call her Daksha in place of Suresh.
