Aluva, Kerala: In a tragic incident on Monday, an unidentified man was found dead on the railway tracks after being struck by a train.

The body was noticed around 6:15 PM by the loco pilot of the Ernakulam–Shoranur MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) train near the Companypadi area in Aluva.

Upon investigation, authorities confirmed that the man had been struck and killed by an earlier train before the MEMU train arrived at the scene. Due to the time taken to remove the body, the MEMU service was delayed by approximately 45 minutes initially.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown. The man, believed to be around 30 years old, was found wearing pants and a shirt. Preliminary findings suggest he may have been a migrant worker from another state. Authorities suspect he was speaking on the phone while crossing the tracks when he was struck by a passing train.
