UDF will sweep LS Polls in Kerala: Muslim League

Kozhikode: The state leadership of the Muslim League predicts that the UDF will win all 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala.
In a press conference, P K Kunhalikutty (IUML National General Secretary) and P M A Salam (party’s State General Secretary), expressed confidence that their party would win with a thumping majority in Malappuram and Ponnani, like in the previous years.
The IUML is expecting the anti-incumbency feelings prevalent in the state and centre to work in favour of its front. Overall, the party is expecting the INDIA alliance to emerge victorious in the parliamentary elections.
The Muslim League leaders accused the CPM of resorting to communal tactics in Kerala, allegedly taking cue from what the BJP is doing at the national level. The IUML stated that the Left instigated communal polarization in Kerala during the election period, especially in Vadakara.
The party held CPM responsible for circulating fake screenshots and messages during the polls in the Vadakara constituency. It termed the acts as being highly deplorable.
The IUML members alleged that there is a nexus between the CPM and the cops, but assured all support to restore peace in the Vadakara constituency.
The ally of the UDF also announced that they would be soon launching a protest demanding a solution for shortage of plus one seats. In the first phase, the leaders will take out protests to the collectorates of Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on May 29, the crisis is reportedly at its peak in these districts.
