Horrifying details of torture inflicted on toddler in Malappuram out

Malappuram: Horrifying details are coming out regarding the brutal torture inflicted on the 2.5-year-old girl who was allegedly killed by her father in Kalikavu. It has been revealed that Mohammed Fayis (24), the father of the deceased toddler, used to torture the baby almost every day. The postmortem report of the infant suggests the same.
Injuries sustained on the backbone, skull and other deep injuries on the body have apparently led to the death of the girl. The bones are said to have pierced into the body of the toddler and internal bleeding was reported as well. All in all, over 70 injury marks were spotted in the little girl’s body. It is also claimed that there were cigarette burn marks on the dead body.
As per the version of the neighbours, they used to quite often hear cries of the child from Fayis’s residence. “Whenever we used to find Fayis beating up the child, we used to tell him not to do so, but then he never used to listen to us. In fact his family members used to tell us that it is their child and they will do whatever they want,” said the residents.
The locals had rushed to the house on Sunday noon, after hearing the cries of the girl’s mother Shahaban. As they arrived, both the front and back doors of the house were locked. After some time, family members of Fayis opened the door. The child was found in the kitchen. The little one was struggling to breath and also vomiting. Seeing the plight of the child, people opined that the toddler should be taken to a hospital immediately. Following this, the baby was finally taken to the hospital by taking a lift on the road.
One woman living in the surroundings of Fayis’s houses said that the home and its premises used to be kind of concealed. Most of the time, it was difficult for the people to spot what was actually happening there. The woman said that the family members weren’t really keen on taking the baby to the hospital when the little one was battling for life.
It is known that Fayis’s wife used to stay away from him. She used to stay in her house. The accused was never ready to hand over the child to his wife or her family. The incident has sent shockwaves across the region.
