Aluva: Thushar Vellappally met Chief Minister VD Satheesan in person and conveyed his congratulations. Speaking to the media after the meeting, he said it was purely a friendly visit and had no political motive. Thushar added that he was happy to see VD Satheesan become Chief Minister and noted that they have been friends for a long time.

He revealed that the Chief Minister had personally invited him two or three times to attend the swearing-in ceremony, but he was outside India at the time for personal reasons and could not make it. Communication was also difficult while he was abroad. After returning, he chose a day when the Chief Minister was in Thiruvananthapuram to meet him directly and offer his congratulations.

Responding to questions about the relationship between the SNDP Yogam and political parties, Thushar said the organisation has never officially decided to oppose or support any political party. He clarified that criticisms made earlier by the General Secretary were his personal views and that the organisation itself has never taken a decision to work against the Congress, the BJP, or the Communist Party. He also stressed that no instructions have been given even at the branch level to oppose any political group.

Thushar said there were no specific demands or representations made during the meeting. Maintaining cordial relations with those who govern Kerala has always been the SNDP's approach, he noted, adding that a meeting between the General Secretary and the Chief Minister may take place in the coming days.
