Thiruvananthapuram: Father of Venjaramoodu mass murder case accused Affan, Abdurahim, has expressed his unwillingness to see his son.

"I am not going to meet him, nor do I wish to," he said. He also stated that he was unaware of any financial liabilities in Affan’s name.

"There was no reason for him to have debts. From what I know, it was the family that had liabilities," he added.

"The main financial burden was a housing loan taken from the Venjaramoodu Central Bank. It was a loan of Rs 15 lakh with a tenure of 20 years. But I wanted to repay it within five years. I made sure to send money regularly for the repayments. However, the full amount was not paid off by those handling it here. Some amount remained, and the accumulated interest turned it into a major liability. I had no idea things had reached this stage," Abdurahim said, his voice heavy with emotion.
