Thiruvananthapuram: Amidst intensifying debates within the Congress party regarding the Chief Ministerial candidate, former KPCC president and incumbent Kannur MP K Sudhakaran has made a bold statement. Speaking to media reporters, he asserted that if the High Command seeks his opinion, he will express it clearly, adding that a final decision on the matter will be reached soon.

When journalists pointedly asked who the Chief Minister in his mind was, he replied, "It’s me." He further clarified that there is no second name on his list, playfully asking, "Why, is that not possible?"

Notably, Sudhakaran had previously taken to Facebook to support AICC general secretary K C Venugopal for the post. When questioned if his stance regarding Venugopal becoming the Chief Minister had changed, he maintained that there was no change in that particular context.
