Pulamanthole (Malappuram): A group of diligent youth are busy painting a huge building complex of the Syndicate business group in Karinganad village. A team of 30 hearing and speech impaired painters have named their group ‘Silent painters’. They seem to be using mobile phones amid their earnest work and that is to share the pictures, information and suggestions regarding painting.

The young men work on the 6,500 square feet building complex housing three movie theatres. Though many contractors and institutions have approached for a painting contract, the Syndicate group owner and a philanthropist Sajith Njalur decided to assign the work to ‘Silent painters’.

The members of the team led by Thirurkad native Bhava reside in different places. The Syndicate group had previously given some of its work to the ‘Silent painters’. But such a huge contract is for the first time. These young men said that providing job for 30 people in the group is the best comfort that anyone could offer them.

The team can surpass any other experienced painters on grounds of perfection and pace. This unique team of ‘Silent painters’ urge to earn themselves and stand on their own feet without relying upon others.
