Suresh Gopi provides financial aid to 10 transgenders to undergo gender affirmation surgery

Kochi: As promised, actor turned politician Suresh Gopi came to the financial aid of transgenders. He has deposited around Rs.12 lakhs and handed over the documents at Amrita Hospital for this purpose. In the first phase, ten individuals will undergo gender affirmation surgery with his financial assistance, which begins on Monday.

While speaking about the financial help, the actor emphasized that this support is not just an act of kindness and mercy, but a necessity and responsibility of society. He believes that it marks the beginning of every individual's right to live freely and with dignity. Suresh Gopi also expressed his willingness to fund the surgery for another ten people if the government delays the financial assistance allocated for gender affirmation surgery.

During the event, the blessing speech was delivered by Swami Purnamritananda Puri, the General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
