Sreekrishna Jayanti: Special sadya for 40,000 devotees at Guruvayur Temple

Guruvayur: Special sadya will be served for 40,000 devotees at the Guruvayur Temple on Wednesday (Sreekrishna Jayanti) from 9.30 am to 4 pm. Devotees will be permitted entry till 2 pm. The sadya will be served at the Annalakshmi Hall located outside the western nada of the temple and inside another hall towards the southern side.
As part of the sadya, pal payasam (milk payasam) worth Rs 7.5 lakh will also be prepared on the day, said Dr VK Vijayan, Chairman, Guruvayur Devaswom.
Further, there will be no special darshan facilities available for prominent personalities from 6 am till 2 pm and children and parents after ‘choroonu’ on Wednesday.
At 7 am and 3.30 pm, ‘kazhcha seeveli’, a daily procession of caparisoned elephants, accompanied by ‘Panchavadyam’, will be held at the temple.
