Special train service via Kottayam during Puja, Diwali; KSRTC to run services to Bengaluru

Kottayam: A weekly special train service will operate via Kottayam to Mumbai and back during the Puja and Diwali season. The service will run between Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) and Kurla LTT from October 15 to November 21 via the Konkan route.

The special train will benefit not only those travelling home for the holidays but also tourists heading to Konkan and Goa during the Puja and Diwali vacation.

LTT–Thiruvananthapuram North (01463)

The train will depart from LTT at 4 pm on Thursdays from October 15 to November 19 and reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 11.30 pm the following day.

Thiruvananthapuram North–LTT (01464)

The train will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North at 2.15 pm on Saturdays from October 17 to November 21 and reach LTT at 11.55 pm the following day.

KSRTC services to Bengaluru, Mysuru

KSRTC will operate special services from Kerala to Bengaluru and Mysuru, as well as to various destinations in Kerala, from October 14 to November 14.

Special services will operate from Bengaluru to Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Nilambur, Ponnani, Ernakulam, Changanassery, Pala, Alappuzha, Kollam, Punalur, Kottarakkara, Cherthala, Haripad, Kottayam, Adoor, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Payyannur and Kanhangad. A special service will also operate from Mysuru to Kannur.

Some buses will operate on alternate days. Officials said additional special services would be introduced depending on passenger demand.
