Sorcerer and Tamil Nadu youngster dies in Palakkad while performing rituals in river

Palakkad, Kerala: Two people died after falling into a river on Saturday in Palakkad’s Kozhinjampara area. The deceased are sorcerer Hasan Muhammad and 18-year-old Yuvaraj, a resident of Coimbatore. The accident occurred while they were performing ritual practices.

Yuvaraj’s family had approached Hasan Muhammad a week earlier because their son’s employment situation was not improving. Following Hasan’s advice, they visited his house at Pallitheruvu after a week to perform rituals.

After completing rituals at Hasan’s residence, both Hasan and Yuvaraj went to the nearby river to continue the practices.

Yuvaraj entered the water to perform remedial rituals when both he and Hasan slipped into the river. Swept away by a strong current, they drowned around noon.
