Shining child star from Wayanad on fashion ramp

An eight-year-old girl, Naika Shaijith, is fast emerging as a star after shining at fashion shows in Kalpetta in Wayanad. Whenever Naika gets a chance to step onto the stage, she returns successful. Of the 13 pageant shows she has participated so far, she has won the title in seven, emerged first runner-up in three, and second runner-up in one.

The photographs shared on Instagram brought Naika into the world of fashion. She first participated in a fashion show held in Kozhikode in October 2024. Though she joined casually when an opportunity came her way, her performance stood out. This was followed by participation in events in Ernakulam.

Naika received training from the Beyatricz Modeling Agency, after which she began to shine in various competitions. She went on to become a title winner at a national-level pageant held in Mumbai. Naika has also acted in advertisements, short films, and movies.

Naika wishes to pursue fashion alongside her studies. She hails from Vellamunda and is daughter of Shaijith, a Village Extension Officer with the Edavaka Grama Panchayat, and Divya, a physiotherapist. She is a Class 3 student at Vellamunda A.U.P. School. She has a brother named Naithik.
