Shajahan murder: Court orders probe after two accused go missing from police custody

Palakkad: A court here on Saturday ordered a probe into the missing of two accused in the Shajahan murder case. As per the complaint lodged by the mothers of the duo, they went missing from the police custody.
While considering the complaint of the mothers, the court establised a commission of advocates to look into the alleged missing of Awaz and Jayaraj, who were in custody in relation to the murder of CPM local committee member Shajahan.
The commission visited Palakkad South police station as part of the probe on Saturday at noon. The complainants have also arrived at the station.
So far, eight people have been arrested by the police in the murder case. Four of them were sent to police custody by the court. CPM had accused RSS of the attack. The police probe also alleged that the murder was politically motivated.
