SFI doesn’t look at the flag of ruling party while launching agitation: E Afsal

Malappuram: SFI is not an organisation which launches an agitation by looking at the flag of the ruling party, said SFI central committee member E Afsal. He was reacting to the remarks of Education minister V Sivankutty as minister has ridiculed SFI for agitating against the dearth of plus one seats in Malabar region. “SFI had earlier brought the issue before the minister. But, his response regarding the crisis was not encouraging”, Afsal said. 

Earlier, minister Sivankutty had ridiculed the SFI for coming up with an agitation demanding more seats in Malabar. While speaking to reporters at Thiruvananthapuram, Sivankutty had said that let the SFI start the agitation to get themselves charged up as they were sitting idle for long. 

SFI demands more plus one seats in Malabar region, especially in Malappuram. They had taken out a protest march to Malappuram collectorate on Monday morning. KSU and MSF workers too arranged protest programmes at Malappuram on Monday.
