Sexual assault on minor girl: TVM police arrests 3 including mother

Kattakada: Three individuals were arrested by the Kattakada police for sexually assaulting a minor girl. The arrestees include Akhil Dev (25) and Vineesha (24), a couple from Thiruvananthapuram, and also the girl’s mother.

The FIR states that the girl was taken to different places and sexually abused with the consent of her mother who stayed at a hostel in Ernakulam. Akhil had befriended the girl’s mother during a train journey while he was in Ernakulam.

At first, the girl was taken to a lodge in Ernakulam where she was sexually harassed by Akhil. Later on, she was shifted to a lodge in Kattakada after handing over money to her mother. After torturing the girl continuously at the place, she was moved to Vineesha’s home. Growing suspicious over the activities of the couple, Vineesha’s mother informed the police which led to their arrest. The culprits were produced at Kattakada court and sent to remand.
