5 killed as Karnataka RTC bus rams into auto at Thalappady in Kasaragod

Thalappady, Kasaragod: At least five people were killed on Thursday after a speeding Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus crashed into a stationary autorickshaw here.

The victims have been identified as Lakshmi, a native of Kasaragod, autorickshaw driver Ali, Ayisha, Haseena, and Khadeeja.

According to reports, the bus, which was traveling from Karnataka to Kasaragod, allegedly lost its brakes before ramming into the autorickshaw at high speed.

Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched relief operations.
