Security tightened in Thiruvananthapuram ahead of New Year

Thiruvananthapuram: DCP CH Nagaraju has stated that tight security measures will be deployed in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow night. Huge crowds are expected to throng the hotels, malls, beaches and clubs in the city on the new year’s eve.
DJ parties can be conducted only after receiving prior approval from the cops. Strict action will be initiated against those who are caught using drugs. Their houses will be raided, in addition, their vehicles will be seized and licences will get cancelled as well. Those who park their vehicles in various public places shall leave their contact numbers on those vehicles in such a way that it is easily visible to others.
Celebrations are allowed at the ‘Manaveeyam Veedhi’ only till 12:30 AM. Police will watch over the proceedings here in ‘mufti’.
