“Sakthidharan has levelled serious allegations against the chief minister. According to the allegation, when he was the party secretary, he took the money, which was collected from various people at the Deshabhimani office in Kaloor, wrapped it in two large reed mats and took it to Thiruvananthapuram in a car. A member of current cabinet was also with him,” Satheesan said.
“A total of Rs 2.35 crore was taken in the mats. From where did they get the money? From whom? Shouldn't this be investigated? When a person, who stood with Pinarayi Vijayan and counted the money, is making such revelations, do you have the courage to carry out an investigation?,” he asked.
Further, Satheesan demanded to register an FIR over Sakthidharan’s revelations and asked if the chief minister was ready to step down from the home minister’s post when the probe is underway.
