Disputed photoshoot by cops standing back turned on Sabarimala Pathinettampadi: ADGP seeks report

Sannidhanam: In a controversial incident in which police officers were photographed standing their back turned on the sacred Pathinettam padi at Sabarimala as against the custom, a report has been sought by the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP). 

The photo, which led to a huge controversy, was taken and circulated on Monday.

The incident involved some police personnel, who had completed their duty at Sannidhanam, taking a photo while standing facing their back to the Pathinettampadi. A report on the matter has been requested from Sannidhanam Special Officer K E Baiju.

The photo went viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism. Authorities have directed that the report be submitted promptly.
