Sabarimala airport: Conspiracy held between CM, Cheruvally Estate, alleges K Surendran
Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran said that the government is planning for a corruption by purchasing government owned land in connection with the construction of Sabarimala airport.
The public can access all documents which prove that Cheruvally estate is a government owned property. Even then the government accepts the Believers Church's ownership claim on the land. This is part of a conspiracy between the chief minister and Cheruvally estate, Surendran alleged in a press meet here.
Congress which claims that they would oppose the wrongdoings by the government also remain silent in this matter. Congress should make clear their stand on this issue. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and veteran Congress leader Oommen Chandy also should clarify their stand, he stated.
The discussions on acquiring the estate was held abroad. Only 700 acres of land is required for the construction of the airport. But acquiring double the area of land and giving the ownership to the estate is a suicidal act. The government should withdraw from the agreement. Otherwise, BJP will lead a massive protest, Surendran said.
The Congress is trying to help the government find a loophole to save their face as the issues regarding COVID resistance slipped their hand. They do not need my certificate, said K Surendran while responding to the allegations that KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran insulted health minister K K Shailaja.
