Angry crows swoop over passers-by and unleash attack; Helmets only solution

Perinthalmanna: Olinkara natives wear a helmet whenever they go out. It is not because they all follow traffic rules but in the fear of two vicious crows in that locality.

Three months back, Ambalaparambil Abbas, a native of Olinkara, started the construction of his new house. Two crows started to attack the construction workers, and now they attack anyone and everyone who walk by.

When the attack intensified, one of the construction workers destroyed its nest. But the natives say that after destroying the nest, the crows became even more ferocious and dangerous. Even after months, the crows still roost there and attack everyone. A stray dog is also a victim of its vengeance.

The natives are now left with no other option than to wear a helmet and carry a stick in hand. Fed up with the attack, the natives are planning to inform the municipal authorities to find a solution for this rare aggression.
