Thiruvananthapuram: Seven persons appointed on contract to strengthen the middle management in KSRTC during the term of Antony Raju as Transport minister, have been sacked without giving them prior notice. The persons who have lost their jobs all of a sudden, include HR Manager Sheju, Finance General Manager Beena Beegum , two executive engineers of the civil department and three trainees of accounts department.

These persons were appointed as per the recommendation of Prof Sushil Khanna’s report , suggesting that the middle level management should be strengthened in KSRTC. They received an e mail on Thursday evening as they reached their home after the day’s work, informing that, they need not come for work from Friday onwards.

In case of dismissal, one month’s notice should be given to the employees. But the management has not followed this while serving them notices.

Those who were fired are in shock at the sudden loss of their jobs. KSRTC had hired them when they were working with other institutions, offering them better pay package.
