Railway announces special trains for Sabarimala pilgrims from Hyderabad; details inside

In response to the high passenger numbers during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, the South Central Railway has announced addition of two special trains to Kerala. These trains will operate between Moula Ali (Hyderabad) and Kollam. A total of 12 services have been scheduled in both directions, with 29 stops in total. Ticket booking for these special trains has already begun.
Special Train Schedule
07193 Moula Ali - Kollam Special Train
The special train will depart from Moula Ali station on December 11, 18, and 25 (Wednesdays) at 06:55 PM. It will arrive at Kollam the next day at 11:55 PM. The train will travel via Nellore, Salem, and Coimbatore. The train will reach Palakkad at 03:40 AM on Thursday, and proceed through Thrissur (06:18 AM), Aluva (07:07 AM), Ernakulam (08:10 AM), Kottayam (10:03 AM), Changanassery (10:23 AM), Tiruvalla (10:35 AM), Chengannur (10:50 AM), and Kayamkulam (11:15 AM), before reaching Kollam at 11:55 PM.
The return special train from Kollam will depart on December 13, 20, and 27 (Fridays) at 02:30 AM, and will arrive at Moula Ali station the next day at 09:15 AM. The train will have eight AC three-tier coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, three chair car coaches, and one general second-class coach.
07149 Moula Ali - Kollam Special Train
On December 14, 21, and 28 (Saturdays), the Moula Ali-Kollam special will leave Moula Ali station at 06:55 PM and reach Kollam at 10:30 PM the next day. The train will travel via Nellore, Salem, and Erode, reaching Palakkad at 03:35 AM on Sunday. It will continue through Thrissur (05:52 AM), Aluva (06:31 AM), Ernakulam (07:05 AM), Ettumanoor (08:01 AM), Kottayam (08:15 AM), Changanassery (08:36 AM), Tiruvalla (08:47 AM), Chengannur (09:01 AM), and Kayamkulam (09:25 AM) before arriving at Kollam at 10:30 PM.
The return train from Kollam will operate on December 16, 23, and 30 (Mondays), leaving Kollam at 02:30 AM and reaching Moula Ali station at 09:50 AM the next day. The train will have eight AC three-tier coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, three chair car coaches, and one general second class coach.
The trains are expected to help ease the travel load for Sabarimala pilgrims, offering convenient and timely transportation during the peak season.
