Rahul Gandhi visits Panakkad house with heart-felt note from Sonia

Panakkad: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the Panakkad house on Monday night to grieve the demise of Hyderali Thangal. Rahul, who reached the house with other Congress leaders by around 8.30 pm, left only after spending 15 minutes with the family.
Later, he handed over a message from Sonia Gandhi to the newly selected IUML state president Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal. IUML national general secretary, PK Kunhalikutty read out the note that condoled the death of Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal. By mentioning Hyderali Thangal as a humanitarian who stood for the welfare of everyone irrespective of religious, caste or political differences, Sonia marked her faith in the future leadership in upholding his tradition.
Rahul Gandhi also had a conversation with Sadiq Ali Thangal. Sadiq Ali conveyed his gratitude to Rahul for visiting Panakkad house at a busy time as the results of elections in five states are at the doorsteps.
Congress leaders KC Venugopal, K Sudhakaran, VD Satheesan, AP Anil Kumar, Aryadan Shoukath, VC Joy and IUML leaders ET Mohammed Basheer, AP Abdul Samadani, KPA Majeed, P Ubaidulla, TV Ibrahim, Abid Hussain Thangal and N Shamsuddin accompanied Rahul Gandhi.
