Pulsar Suni released after 7.5 years; bail under strict conditions

Kochi: Pulsar Suni has been released after spending seven and a half years in prison. He was granted bail in connection with the high-profile actress assault case and two other cases. The trial court in Kochi has set the bail conditions for Pulsar Suni. The court has also instructed the rural police to ensure the security of the accused.

The court's decision allows him to be released under strict conditions. Suni was convicted in 2017 for his involvement in the assault of a well-known actress in Kerala. Since then, the case has garnered massive media attention and public interest.

Bail conditions for Pulsar Suni

  • Do not leave the Ernakulam Sessions Court premises without permission
  • Do not speak with the media
  • Only one SIM card may be used, and the number must be communicated to the court
  • Do not speak with witnesses
  • Do not communicate with other accused individuals
  • A deposit of Rs 1 lakh is required, along with two sureties

Actress assault case

The actress, known for her work in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and allegedly sexually assaulted in her car for two hours by individuals who forced their way into the vehicle on the night of February 17, 2017. The assailants later escaped in a busy area. The entire incident was filmed to blackmail the actress.

The police have arrested several individuals in connection with the case. Actor Dileep was also arrested, but was later released on bail.
