Public homage for Kodiyeri in TVM scrapped due to Vijayan's foreign trip, alleges K Sudhakaran

Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Tuesday alleged that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan sabotaged plans to place Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's mortal remains for public homage in Thiruvananthapuram.
Sudhakaran added that Vijayan turned down the request of the former CPM state secretary's family in order to attend a meeting with business tycoons abroad.
"Pinarayi was not willing to drop his plans to hold talks with some businessmen. He feared that a public homage in Thiruvananthapuram and later holding a procession to Kannur could affect his going abroad," Sudhakaran said.
