On her journey to be a true 'Wayanadan', Priyanka Gandhi all set to learn Malayalam

Kalpetta: Priyanka Gandhi is gearing up to learn Malayalam to better connect with the people of Wayanad, from where she won the Lok Sabha byelection in flying colours.
Since arriving in the constituency for election campaigns, she has been making an effort to learn one Malayalam word a day by interacting with UDF workers.
A senior leader close to the Nehru family has reportedly suggested appointing a tutor to help her master the language, a proposal Priyanka is said to be interested in.
Priyanka aims to learn Malayalam to communicate directly with the people and to understand petitions presented to her at a basic level. Already fluent in Hindi, English, French and Italian, Priyanka is also comfortable conversing in Tamil to some extent.
During a campaign visit to the Pallikkunnu Church in Wayanad, she conversed with the clergy in French and Italian, showcasing her linguistic abilities.
UDF workers close to Priyanka believe she has a natural aptitude for picking up languages quickly.
