President’s Republic Day Medals announced; 12 recipients from Kerala
New Delhi: The President’s Police and Fire Service Medals for Distinguished and Meritorious Service for Republic Day 2026 have been announced. From Kerala, Shanawaz Abdul Shahab, Superintendent of Police, has been selected for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM). From the Kerala Fire Service, M Rajendranath, Station Officer, has also been selected for the PSM.
The Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) has been awarded to 10 officers from Kerala Police.

The awards will be formally presented on Republic Day 2026.
