Yet another ragging incident: Plus one student brutally beaten by seniors in Kannur

Kannur: While the shocking incident of ragging at Kottayam Government Nursing College continues to stir the conscience of Kerala society, yet another case of brutal ragging has emerged from Kannur district. A Plus One student was allegedly subjected to torture by senior students of the same school.

Muhammad Nihal, a Plus One student at PRM Higher Secondary School in Kolavallur, was reportedly beaten up by five senior students from the same school. As a result of the assault, Nihal suffered a fracture in his left hand. A case has been filed against the senior students at the Kolavallur police station. The incident occurred on February 12.

The senior students allegedly assaulted Muhammad Nihal for not showing respect to them and for making inappropriate remarks. Nihal was injured and admitted to Cooperative Hospital in Thalassery, where hospital sources have confirmed that his condition is improving.
