Pathanamthitta MLA and Collector take food kits to adivasi hamlets

Konni:  Pathanamthitta MLA KU Janeesh Kumar and Collector PB Nooh brought food items directly to Avanippara Girijan colony as part of the MLA’s ‘Kaithangu’ scheme.

They crossed Achankovil stream carrying kits containing food items and reached the colony. The food items were collected by Janamaithri police and Konni DYFI block committee. Kits containing vegetables, salt, soap, 10 kgs of rice, coconut oil, sugar, tea powder, coffee among others were distributed to 37 families.

Collector PB Nooh said that he along with the MLA reached the colony to ensure that the food items reached the colonies. Food was provided to all those who are above 60 years- old as per SC/ST section. Others will also be given food.

A four- member medical team, under the leadership of Kokkathodu PHC Medical officer C Sreejayan, conducted medical tests in the colony.
