Kochi: The City Police Commissioner, Putta Vimaladitya, has confirmed that no evidence has been found against actors Sreenath Bhasi and Prayaga Martin in the drug case involving notorious criminal Om Prakash.

The commissioner clarified that a television artist was reportedly present at the hotel where the incident took place, but it is unclear if they were involved in a drug party. He added that the investigation will move forward once the results of the forensic tests on the collected samples are received.

Earlier, the police had recorded statements from Sreenath Bhasi and Prayaga Martin regarding the case. Om Prakash and his associate Shihas were arrested during a drug party at a five-star hotel in Kundanoor, Maradu. Both Sreenath Bhasi and Prayaga Martin were questioned by police for visiting the hotel at the time of the incident.

While responding to media questions after the interrogation, Prayaga Martin stated that she did not know Om Prakash and only learned about him through news reports and a Google search. Sreenath Bhasi has not yet responded publicly.

The investigation team also questioned four more individuals on Wednesday, including Thammanam Faisal, who had contact with Om Prakash, Aloshi Peter from Brahmapuram, his wife Sneha, and Paul Jose from Angamaly. All were present at the hotel during the party. Police suspect their connection to Binu Joseph, a resident of Elamakkara, who allegedly brought them to the hotel.

The police have identified 14 more individuals who attended the drug party and plan to issue notices to them in the coming days. So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the case.
