Kozhikode: Expressing disbelief over the unexpected backlash from his daughter, the father of the Pantheerankavu domestic violence case victim has hinted at the possibility of Rahul, the accused, influencing her decision. He has approached the Vadakkekara police, raising concerns over his daughter's sudden disappearance as well.

He revealed that his daughter went missing on June 3, after stating she was headed to her workplace in Thiruvananthapuram. There were regular phone conversations until June 8, after which the communication stopped. Upon contacting her workplace, it was revealed that she had applied for leave until June 21, leading her father to report her disappearance.

The father emphasised that he never coerced or pressured his daughter into filing a complaint against Rahul. However, he expressed suspicion that Rahul might have wielded influence over her, particularly as the police were on the brink of taking action. This is when she took a u-turn.

He also said that he found out about his daughter's affidavit in the High Court through the media. He told Mathrubhumi.com that he suspected that his daughter might have developed a soft-corner for Rahul as he is her husband.
