Opposition demands investigation into allegations levelled against Pinarayi

NewDelhi: Opposition leader V D Satheesan has demanded a detailed enquiry into the serious allegations levelled against CM Pinarayi Vijayan by Bangalore-based senior journalist Sandhya Ravishankar. Sandhya had earlier claimed that Pinarayi had amassed over 1,500 acres of land in Tamil Nadu and Kerala using his ties with realty giants and money launderers.
The opposition leader has openly challenged the Kerala CM to file a defamation case if the allegations were false. He was talking to the press in Delhi.
“Off late, there has been a series of revelations against our CM. This includes statements of Swapna Suresh, Monson Mavunkal’s former driver, and also the shocking information provided by G Sakthidaran who was former editorial board member of ‘Deshabhimani’ newspaper,” said Satheesan.
“This is a barbaric rule. Cases are being slapped on Congress leaders in Kerala without any rhyme and reason. But at the same time, serious allegations levelled against the CM are going unheard/unnoticed. This is the height of discrimination and misuse of power. Kerala Congress will continue its fight against the draconian rule in the state,” he concluded.
