Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Secretary has called a meeting of service organisations to discuss the evasion of government employees who are transferred to Kasaragod, Kannur, and Wayanad districts. The meeting will be held in the Chief Secretary’s committee room on the evening of August 5.

There is already a strict directive to ensure that the officers appointed to these districts work there for a stipulated amount of time. The major vacant posts are those of engineer, doctor, paramedical staff, and welfare workers.

The meeting will discuss issues such as the subsequent transfer demands of those posted in these districts for compulsory service to their desired districts. Some concessions are also being considered for IAS, KAS, and Secretariat service categories. Concessions on earned leave are also being considered to encourage service in these districts.
