Enraged Anvar announces willingness to cooperate with UDF, vows to bring down Pinarayi

Nilambur: MLA P.V. Anvar expressed gratitude to the UDF leaders who extended moral support to him after his arrest in the case related to the attack on the Nilambur North DFO office. He specifically thanked Muslim League State President Panakkad Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal, Deputy Opposition Leader P.K. Kunhalikutty, KPCC President K. Sudhakaran, Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan and Ramesh Chennithala. Anvar said that he would join hands with the UDF to move forward against the misgovernance of the Pinarayi government.

"I was quite relieved that UDF leaders, including Panakkad Sadiq Ali Thangal, Kunhalikutty Sahib, Congress leaders K. Sudhakaran, Ramesh Chennithala, and Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan, extended moral support to me. Many others, including Thamarassery-Bathery Bishop and C.P. John, offered issue-based support. I came prepared to stay in jail for 100 days and informed my family beforehand. I believed justice would prevail through the judiciary, and it did," Anwar said outside the jail.

"Pinarayi is digging his own grave. The government is facing setbacks one after the other. He has even made a pact with the central RSS leadership to keep the CPM out of power," he added.

Anvar warmly welcomed the support of the UDF and thanked them. "Until now, it was a lone fight. From now on, it will be a united struggle, hand in hand with the UDF, to bring down Pinarayi's misgovernance, authoritarianism, minority hatred and conspiracies. The CPM has forgotten what protest means and is flowing along the cold current of governance. Naturally, they will find protests unappealing. But this is no longer a lone fight; it's a collective one. I'm personally ready for any compromise required. The ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy," he asserted.

Anvar dismissed claims that V.D. Satheesan had distanced himself from him. "I never believed Satheesan distanced himself from me, neither then nor now. Tomorrow, we may have to see each other and perhaps even work together. Both he and I know this. My sole slogan is to bring down Pinarayi. To achieve that, I will work with the UDF in any manner necessary. The UDF and the opposition are the forces here to defeat Pinarayi. My position will be to collaborate with them and contribute my strength to this cause," Anwar clarified.
