Nandakumar levels serious allegations against Anil Antony

Kochi: Nandakumar has raised serious allegations against NDA candidate of Pathanamthitta Anil Antony. He alleged that Anil Antony took Rs 25 lakhs from him for appointment of the CBI standing counsel.
As per the complaint, the money was transferred in April 2013 at Ashoka hotel in New Delhi. Anil took the money to pay Ranjith Sinha who was the then CBI director. But no appointment was made and Anil refused to return the money. P.J Kurian was told about the matter but to no avail. P.T Thomas intervened and got the money in five instalments. When P.J Kurian tried to raise a complaint after the NDA government came, he was stopped from doing so.
The complaint states that Anil Antony is also involved in the appointment of Ranjith Sinha. Anil was a well-known broker based in Oberoi hotel during the UPA government. He has leaked official documents about arms deals from A.K Antony’s official residence. He has also carried out transactions at the former defence minister’s official residence. When investigation began, Anil joined the BJP to avoid getting caught, Nandakumar said.
Nandakumar further said that P.J Kurian and Uma Thomas are aware of this. He said he has proof in hand if Anil tries to deny these allegations. Anil frequently visited the CBI director’s official residence, signing his name as 'Anil' in the visitor’s log. Consequently, Anil Ambani bore the brunt of the blame. After Anil Ambani visited the CBI director once, Anil Antony continued to visit him by replicating Ambani’s signature.
