MVR event: IUML is not a party that blindly follows the instructions of others, says PMA Salam

Kozhikode: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) general secretary PMA Salam has cleared the air on PK Kunhalikutty’s last minute decision to not to participate in the MV Raghavan memorial programme organised by the MVR Charitable Trust, a pro-CPM institution.
“IUML is not a party that blindly follows the instructions of others, if that was the case Kunhalikutty would not have sent a video clip addressing the gathering at the seminar,”said Salam.
“There have always been conflicts in the Congress party. However, at present things are rather peaceful. UDF will face the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in its true spirit,” added Salam.
“It’s good news that Congress is organising a pro-Palestine rally. IUML will definitely participate in the rally if invited,” said Salam.
Meanwhile, IUML national general secretary PK Kunhalikutty, who was supposed to be the keynote speaker at a seminar detailing the role of the cooperative sector in the development of Kerala, did not attend the programme citing an engagement in Dubai at the same time.
