MVD officer found dead inside car near residence in Kottayam

Kottayam: An MVD officer was found dead inside his car near his residence on Friday. The deceased has been identified as S Ganesh Kumar, a resident of Pattithanam near Ettumanoor.

Earlier in the day, his colleagues had organized a farewell ceremony at his office following his transfer to Kannur. However, Kumar did not attend the event. Concerned by his absence, his coworkers went to his residence, where they found him dead inside his car.

The body was later shifted to the mortuary for further legal proceedings. Kumar, who was serving as an RTO Enforcement MVI, is originally from Adoor. The Ettumanoor police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation.
