MV Govindan responds to Ranjith’s resignation: 'Some resign when exposed'

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary MV Govindan stated that the government has nothing to hide regarding the Hema Committee report. He assured that the government would fully implement any recommendations from the report that were mandated by the court.
He asserted that some individuals might face exposure and be compelled to resign, citing director Ranjith and Siddique as examples."Ranjith has said he will prove it, so let's see," Govindan commented, also noting that Siddique has already resigned.
Govindan attributed the recent media scrutiny of the government to political motives, alleging that the media in Kerala is attempting to pave the way for the extreme right-wing. He went further to accuse the media of accepting funds from the CIA with the intention of toppling the government, adding that the Left cannot support any misguided trends, irrespective of who is involved. This stance, he emphasised, is the position of the government.
Govindan also spoke about the importance of equality, stating that equality should be upheld for both men and women, including parity in wages. He reiterated the government's commitment to equality and acknowledged that pursuing this goal might lead to challenges.
