Muraleedharan eligible for any post, even for KPCC Chief role: K Sudhakaran

Kannur: K. Sudhakaran, the President of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), asserted during a media briefing on Thursday that should the party so decide, they are prepared to appoint K. Muraleedharan as KPCC President, citing his aptitude for any responsibility.

"K. Muraleedharan is suitable for any position. Should the need arise, KPCC could confer upon him the presidency. There's unanimity on this. Is there any reason why he couldn't be the KPCC President? Hasn't he held the position before?" queried Sudhakaran.

He further indicated that there are no impediments for Muraleedharan to contest from Wayanad. Sudhakaran stressed Muraleedharan's competence to fulfil any role within the party.

"There's no barrier to Muraleedharan contesting in Wayanad. The party will make the call. He's a viable candidate for any constituency. Wayanad can't be deliberated without Rahul Gandhi's input," added Sudhakaran.

In the current context, Congress is poised to surmount any challenge. The party will nominate a candidate for the Palakkad by-election. "K. Sudhakaran can't make such a decision unilaterally," he remarked.

Sudhakaran pointed out that an inquiry into the reasons behind Ramya Haridas's defeat has commenced. There won't be any Congress workers who don't adhere to the party's decisions. Sudhakaran also clarified that if any errors leading to the loss of the Thrissur LS seat are identified, action will ensue.
