Riyas defends MV Govindan, says party won't tolerate attacks against CPM state secretary

Kozhikode: Tourism Minister P.A. Muhammad Riyas on Sunday came to the defence of CPM state secretary M.V. Govindan, who faced flak for his controversial remark against KPCC president K Sudhakaran in connection with a POCSO case.
Without mentioning the controversy, Muhammad Riyas said that the party would not tolerate such attacks against its party secretary. "Some gentlemen are constantly attacking Comrade Govindan since he became CPM secretary. We know they are aiming at CPM," he wrote in a Facebook post.
He also criticized KPCC president K Sudhakaran and Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan for their remark against the CPM state secretary.
