4 siblings contribute money saved for Hajj pilgrimage to repatriate 12 expats

Vailathur (Malappuram): Four siblings here have proved how people can be compassionate during the COVID crisis. They contributed the amount they saved for the Hajj pilgrimage for NRI repatriation. When the entry for Hajj pilgrims was limited by Saudi Arabia in view of the pandemic, they decided to use the money for charity.

Vailathur Kavappura native Abdumon and his three siblings happily contributed the money which they actually saved for pilgrimage to repatriate 12 NRIs stranded in Gulf countries. They handed over the amount to KMCC leaders in Al Ain for repatriation procedures.

The siblings wanted to make the contribution without any publicity. They also made it clear to Mathrubhumi when asked about the incident. Finally, they agreed to reveal the name of the eldest brother among them. The deserving NRIs to be repatriated were selected with the help of KMCC leaders in Tanur.

Muslim League Tanur constituency president K N Muthukoya Thangal and KMCC leader in Al Ain Hussain Karinkappara received the amount from Abdumon and siblings.
