MM Mani lashes out at S Rajendran over his remark on caste

Idukki: Former minister and current Udumbanchola MLA M M Mani lashed out at former Devikulam MLA S Rajendran over his remark on caste. M M Mani told Mathrubhumi News that the party appointed the inquiry commission against Rajendran for valid reasons and that party has not seen him as a representative of any caste.
M M Mani’s reaction hinted that Rajendran has no ties with the party anymore. “The party does not know where Rajendran is. He talks nonsense. We knew which caste he belongs to when we made him the District Panchayat President and an MLA for 15 years. We did not do any of this by considering his caste,” Mani responded.
“Rajendran must self-introspect his life. It is not right to speak more about this topic. Rajendran’s recent reaction also goes to show that he no longer belongs to the party,” Mani said.
Rajendran had alleged the other day that the party had portrayed him as a man of caste and that he does not wish to continue so in the party. M M Mani’s reaction was a reply to this allegation.
There had been rumours that Rajendran had tried to defeat the LDF candidate in Devikulam during the last Assembly elections. The new turn of events has taken place as the party was going to submit the inquiry commission report on this.
