Ministers should speak in a manner befitting their position: KCBC spokesperson

Kochi: Minister Saji Cheriyan mocked the bishops who attended the Prime Minister’s Christmas party while KCBC came forward with severe criticism against former minister K.T Jaleel. KCBC spokesperson Fr. Jacob G. Palakkapally urged those in positions of authority to be mindful of their words. He also said that Saji Cheriyan and Jaleel have the same vocabulary.
“A minister of the state should be very polite when addressing the public or any person holding authority in the state or country. One can raise criticism using polite terms too, in line with the culture of Kerala. Is it fitting for a minister of the state to scornfully refer to Bishops as people who get excited by drinking wine. He should talk in a manner befitting his position,” he said.
