Palarivattom flyover scam: Probe team to submit charge sheet before polls

Kochi: The probe team will submit the charge sheet in Palarivattom flyover scam before the assembly polls. The case is learnt to be LDF government’s major weapon against the opposition. 13 people, including former PWD minister VK Ebrahim Kunju, are booked in the scam.

Vigilance alleged that Ebrahim Kunju and team hatched a conspiracy at Mascot hotel for issuing the tender of Palarivattom flyover construction to RDX company. Vigilance arrested all major accused and collected evidence in the case.

Though the Vigilance named senior IAS official Muhammad Aneesh in the case, 7 people including him are unlikely to be arrested. The preparation of the charge sheet is in its final phase.

The vigilance is mulling to file the charge sheet after getting approval from prosecution.

Amidst this, Vigilance has been probing the involvement of Ebrahim Kunju in Chamravattom regulator-cum-bridge scam. A probe is being carried out over the construction of 5 approach roads to Chamravattom regulator-cum-bridge.

Vigilance has registered a case over the scam and booked 9 people including former PWD secretary TO Sooraj.
