Milma takes a veiled dig at MVD Vs KSEB row

Kannur: Milma took a subtle dig at MVD Vs KSEB row. 

Both entities are allegedly in a tussle and they have been fining each other. It has triggered a slew of MVD Vs KSEB memes on social media. Milma's ad comes in the backdrop of that.

"Exhausted by fines? Now have some 'Jooy'," said Malabar Milma’s social media advertisement. It showcases a scoreboard with logos mimicking KSEB and MVD, under which a picture of Milma’s fruit drink Jooy rests.

Recently, MVD's AI-camera system fined a jeep of the KSEB for violation. In an apparent tit-for-tat move, KSEB disconnected the power supply to the Kalpetta MVD office over non-payment of a bill.

The latest issue between both is over power bills at Mattannur Enforcement RTO. Five days ago, KSEB disconnected the power supply to the office, citing non-payment of bills across many months as the reason. This is also the office that handles the AI camera-related process.

KSEB clarified that Rs 57,000 is to be paid in pending bills. Kannur Enforcement RTO AC Sheeba said that no computer-related work can be done. "No work has been done in this office because there has been no electricity for five days," she said.
