Nenmara love story: Captivity can't be justified at any cost, says Women's Commission

Palakkad: The State Women's Commission chairperson M C Josephine said that there are some unbelievable facts behind the incident in which a man named Rahman hid his lover Sajitha in his house secretly for 10 years in Nenmara.

No matter what facilities are offered, captivity cannot be justified. The story of Sajitha and Rahman is very strange and first of its kind in Kerala. Both of them never admitted they had any problems in life. So, let them live happily, she reacted.

The Women's Commission intervened in the matter after knowing about the incident from the media. We considered the situation of a woman who had to wait till nightfall for doing her basic routines, Josephine pointed out.

The Women's Commission members visited the house where Sajitha and Rahman were living in Nenmara and talked to them. To the questions on why they did not come out of the room and lived outside, both of them reacted they feared their families and society.
