Mass leave at Konni taluk office: CPI, CPM differ on MLA Jenish’s interventions

Pathanamthitta: It seems CPM and CPI are not on same page over MLA KU Jenish Kumar’s interventions to the mass leave incident at the Konni taluk office.

CPI slammed MLA and said his move was immature. While district leadership of the parent party CPM referred to MLA’s intervention as 100 percent right. 

According to CPI, MLA taking up the executive of tehsildar powers and verifying the documents related to attendance and allied matters is not apt. His move set out a message that there is some issue with the revenue department, the party alleged. 

CPM supported MLA and said that MLA rightly intervened in an issue faced by the public. 

Meanwhile, MLA verbally attacked the officials and even alleged that the trip of officials in the bus owned by a quarry owner raises suspicion. He referred to the trip as a sponsored one in return for favours given to the quarry owner. 

MLA also rapped Additional District Magistrate (ADM). ADM is trying to protect the officials, he alleged. MLA informed that he will approach the chief minister and speaker against the insulting remarks made by the ADM.
