Manjeshwar election bribery case; Court directs K Surendran to appear in court

Kasaragod: BJP state president K Surendran received a backlash in the Manjeshwar election corruption case. The court has directed him to appear in person on October 25 along with all accused in the case. Surendran’s release plea will be considered on the same day.
As per the case, during the last Assembly elections, the BSP candidate Sundara was offered Rs 2.5 lakh, a smart phone and threatened into withdrawing his candidature. Sundara revealed these things himself. Following this, upon the complaint lodged by the CPM candidate V.V Rameshan, a case was registered. Surendran and others argue that the inclusion of the accused in the case was not done in a legal manner.
